Although not as common a filming location as Hollywood, there have been several famous and iconic movies and scenes filmed in the Pacific Northwest. Let’s take a look of some of these famous movies and see if there are good spots to stargaze that we could use. This article will not look at every movie with a scene shot in the Pacific Northwest (Idaho, Oregon, and Washington) as this would provide a list way too unwieldy and length to want to be read.

We understand there are big differences in movies entirely shot in the PNW like Napoleon Dynamite, or The Goonies and movies with a scene shot in the PNW like The Shining.
