Primarily used for its extensive outdoor areas, Lost Lake Resort also provides a great degree of amazing astrophotography opportunities! It has become more popular over the past few years, so get there early! As the Portland area grows, this area has seen an increase in light pollution. This site has been become more popular due to Instagram and other social media sites sharing the photo from here!

This is one of many astronomical sites that are in the Columbia River Gorge area and Mt. Hood, which include Rooster Rock State Park, and Vista House.

There are a few spots on the lake that get a great spot on Instagram! Some of the hikes are worth it at the night if one is willing to go for it.
