As part of the mission of the American Astronomical Society or AAS to provide a community of astronomers and advocates for science and also provides several different meetings for astronomers. Every year, there are 2 meetings held, in the summer and winter, at various locations across the US provides a plethora of opportunities to network, attend hands on workshops, and attend lectures. There is so much to learn from these events and an amazing opportunity to network

The last time that the AAS held a meeting in Seattle was in 2015, when the 225th AAS Meeting was held 4-8 January 2015 at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center in Seattle, WA.

The next meeting that is being held in the Pacific Northwest is the is the next winter meeting on January 8th to 12th 2023, with the conference being held at the Washington State Convention Center, Seattle, WA.
