As of the writing of this, there are 429 official units of the National Park System; however, this number can be misleading. National Park System units are found in all 50 states, in the District of Columbia, and in the U.S. territories, except for the Mariana Islands. In this article, we’ll be taking a look at the 3 National Parks in Montana that will experience totality in varying degrees in 2044 for the solar eclipse. There is 1 National Park site, 1 National Monument, and 1 National Historic site in the path in Montana for the 2044 total solar eclipse.

Please note that sun will set below horizon before eclipse finishes. Glacier National Park is the only site in totality, with the other 2 sites being very close and maybe in totality. We will not recommend going to a site unless you’re entirely sure that you will be in 100% totality.
