5 Beautiful National Parks To View The 2024 Solar Eclipse

Passing through the countries of Mexico, the United States, and Canada, the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse provides amazing opportunities to view totality in its grandeur in beautiful natural settings! These settings vary from waterfalls to wooded areas in various countries that provide 3+ minutes of totality.

1. Niagara Falls

Niagra Falls

Arguably the most famous location on this list, Niagara Falls has activities in both the US and Canada as the Falls are located on the border between the two countries. There are wonderful areas on both sides of the border, which has 3 minutes and 31 seconds of totality. Niagara Falls is a class 7 on the Bortle Scale, which makes the area ideal for viewing the eclipse, but not much else with a telescope. However, the lack of celestial viewing of the stars is compensated by the sheer amount of activities in the surrounding cities. https://www.nps.gov/kaww/index.htm
